Best known for its monthly Signature Breakfast Series events, DemBiz features national, statewide and local speakers including South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg; New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg; Virginia Governors Mark Warner, Tim Kaine and Terry McAuliffe; EMILY’s List President Stephane Schriock; Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Michelle Flournoy; Attorney General Eric Holder; Washington Post Columnist Eugene Robinson; Moms Demand Action Founder Shannon Watts; Inova CEO Knox Singleton; George Mason University President Angel Cabrera; numerous members of Congress and many others. Officers in the Democratic Business Council of Northern Virginia include the President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and Immediate Past President. All DemBiz members are eligible to run for officer positions, which are elected every two years. All officer positions are voluntary.
